Droped down to the local car body shop to get some glaze, or its really called fine filler. The stuff is really workable, easy sanding etc, but it goes of real quick, so small sections at a time need to be done. I taped off the sections to be done.

Reaper done, just waiting for the 'Craig' to get me some fluro vinyl to cover a wing so we can see this thing on the slope. TOYOTA and Slopefun.com stickers via Mr Craig. Toyota is on the bottom, large black text.
Covered in profilm, never going back to tape, real easy to place on and gives it better strength. AUW came up at 870grams, I really hope this isn't too heavy as Paul's really got going at Mt Mee.
Lets hope this thing can perform in lighter conditions that Paul's reaper.

First stage of the build up was to fill the void with balsa and micro balloons. I'll grab some glaze putty to re-shape the curve.

Well, the 2008 Toowoomba Aerotow was on again with excellent weather, I spent most of saturday and a small amount of sunday watching and learning the ropes when it comes to towing gliders.
The Thermal activity took my breath away, thermals everywhere and most pilots had 20-30 minute flights.
On the sunday we had all piolts in the air, the tug pilot walked back past me and said "see, happy glider pilots!" and so true, all face's pointed upwards and not a word being spoken!
Anyway, I've placed the pics in the gallery and youtube videos below.

The toowooba aerotow is on this weekend, I was up there last weekend for my wifes business checking out some slopes. I did find 2 that suite EPP planes, but nothing for scale. A ring road called Henry Drive just north of the highway that comes up the range, had two places, a northerly site and a SE/E from my bearings. Small thermals and a light breeze but not enough to hold up my SteppUp, well maybe there was but i didnt want to go climbing dwn the face to retrieve it in case of a no lift scenario. Actually it was steep, very steep in both places and very difficult to recover a plane.
Anyway, Tooowoomba Aerotow info below; I'll be taking the camera to take some snap shots.
25th/26th October from 10.00am

Well, came up against a small problem today, my wing airfoil selection may not be correct? Well not exact, should be more the correct term.
I've run into an issue with the airfoil that has been used on the fuselage, from what Profili has shown me, and thats basically eye balling the section returning back to Profili and checking airfoils is that the foil used on the mold (plug) was a NACA-K6M or very close to.
