Sailplane Building

Building of our personal fleets, anything from the standard RES woodie to hopefully some nice glass ships that are scale replica's of the real deal.

The New Year PDF Print E-mail

I'm honest, i've just not had the time to post on my own site, between training for the Ironman, website building and my job there has been zero time to anything. Why now you ask? Well i'm on the taper for the IM, the race is next week (march 28th) and i'm slowly winding back the training time.

I've done no flying at all, the move to Toowoomba is great, kids are settling down into their new schools and life is back to some sort of normality. I think i've actually forgot how to fly a plane. LOL

First thing in April is to get back into some building, i've got so many projects half done, 3/4's done, I have no idea where to start. I guess one of them is to get something electric to play with in the backyard, then move onto and finish the ASH, poor thing has taken so long to even get started it moans at me everytime I see it in the garage.

I've changed the forum over to Windsock's community, as its gets updated on a daily basis, i'll post some info over there as well.

Onward and upward!

Site Update PDF Print E-mail

Apologies to everyone for not updating the site as frequently as I had been, alot of guff going on in my world at present. My current employer has decided to make my position redundant, have to take my hat off to them. Actually it has come at a rather good time, my wifes folks own a vitamin and health food chain of shops based in Toowoomba, we have one here in Brisbane as well.
So, for us its off to Toowoomba to manage one of the shops and a lifestyle change for us. Very excited about that, as the house we have purchased is only 5 minutes away from the TARMAC airfield, brilliant! Another plus for the house is that it sits very high up and has 1 3/4 acres of land, perfect for side launch and electric.
I'll have to leave the updates until new year, moving and what not takes a bit of time.

Sorry people haven't been online or posted on SW for a while, i've been dedicating my time to training for my first Half Ironman Triathlon. Its a very time consuming sport as well as expensive, so funds have been diverted into that.
Some progress on the Sagitta, I do have a small window that I can complete and start some planes. I've covered the left hand inner panel of the Sagitta and started working on a Quatro, a small slope/electric glider, perfect for a quick fly.

I'll take a shot of my Sagitta progress this weekend and get it online for every one to see.
Its so frustrating having the planes gather dust, but you can only one thing at a time with family commitments and work, but never the less the planes are still there to work on when I have some training downtime.

Until next time...
